Workplace Aerosols 2010
30 June - 1 July, Karlsruhe, Germany
The conference aims at contributing to the development of safe and sustainable nanotechnologies and focuses on the workplace as an area with significant exposure potential to nano-aerosols.
Key topics of the conference will be:
- Sources and source characteristics, release mechanisms
- From source to receptor: aerosol transport and dynamics
- Measurement and characterisation in the workplace
- Exposure: from aerosol characteristics to dose
- How do aerosol characteristics translate into valid test conditions?
- Dose and effects: evidence and methodology
- Regulatory frameworks, assessment strategies
The conference format is intended to foster cross-disciplinary technical exchange with a good balance between scientific and industrial perspectives, as well as policy.
The conference is preceded by Tutorials on 28 and 29 June providing up-to-date technical background on topics related to the conference.
